Mental Health Counseling Rates and Insurance Coverage

Initial Phone Consultation (15 mins): no charge

Self-Pay Reduced Rates:

Intake Sessions (55 mins): $175

Individual Sessions (55 mins): $155

Couple Sessions (55 mins): $165

During the initial phone consultation, the frequency of sessions will be determined by both the client and counselor, with weekly or biweekly sessions being the most common arrangement.

In-Network Providers: Aetna, Meritain, BCBS, and United HealthCare

*If you are using insurance, your session costs will be influenced by your insurance coverage for therapy, which may involve a copay, coinsurance, or payment towards your deductible. Clients are responsible for any amounts not covered by their insurance. To understand the specifics of what is covered, we recommend contacting your insurance company to inquire about coverage for mental health services with in-network therapists.

Out of Network:

If you choose to work with an out-of-network provider, a superbill will be provided. This detailed receipt includes all necessary information your insurance company needs to evaluate your request for reimbursement of therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, you will pay the self-pay rate upfront and then submit the superbill directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. It’s advisable to discuss your eligibility and coverage for outpatient mental health services with an out-of-network therapist with your insurance provider before we begin. While reimbursement is not guaranteed, many clients have successfully received financial support by utilizing a superbill.
